Late Autumn Walk

Time for the fall season! Get outside for a walk searching for leaves, pumpkins, squirrels and turkeys of many colors you can collect and take home. Be prepared to hike on uneven trails. Registration is required.

Embroidery 101

Spend an afternoon in our historic farmhouse learning basic embroidery stitches. Thanksgiving themed patterns will be available to decorate your own item. Please bring a pillowcase, handkerchief, towel or clothing item to embellish. No stitching or embroidery skills are required. For ages 13 and older. Registration is required.

Nibbles Adventure Club: Astronomy Night

Nibbles Adventure Club programs are for families with children ages 4-8 years old. Participants will receive the NAC booklet at their first program. After completing four NAC activities, you will receive a pin. NAC programs will be held every other month throughout 2025. This we will focus on the stars and moon. Registration is for CHILDREN ONLY and required.

Spilling the Tea

Spilling the Tea is held on the fourth Wednesday of each month. Enjoy an afternoon tea in the Homestead House learning about life in the 1930s. Each month will focus on a different tea and a new year. Read diary entries, search through old photographs and letters to get a glimpse of our past. November will focus on 1939. Registration is required.

DIY Holiday Garlands

Looking to add some festive cheer to your home decor? Join Naturalist Sarah at the Wilson Nature Center from 4:30-6pm to make holiday-themed garlands out of upcycled materials. Registration is required.

Cookies & Cocoa

Join naturalist Debbie Haubert at the log cabins to kick-off the holiday baking season. Help make a few batches of cookies to eat and take home. Enjoy hot cocoa while we bake. Bring a container to carry home some of the cookies. Registration is required. Fee of $6.

Sensory Play Saturday - Evergreens

Attention parents of toddlers: have you ever wanted to do sensory play activities with your child, but it looked like too much prep time or too big of a mess? You are in luck!
We will be hosting sensory play days at Creek Bend Farm the first Saturday of each month. The December program will be evergreen themed and have opportunities for your child to explore and learn about nature using all five senses. Your child will also be making a craft and a small snack will be provided.
Registration is required, and please register only the child.

Homestead Holiday & Homespun Holiday Market

Come experience our Homestead House decorated in 1940s holiday style and grab some hors d'oeuvres. Visit with Santa in his workshop and shop the Homespun Holiday Market for your last-minute holiday needs! Please dress for the weather as this event takes indoors and outdoors.
