Sap to Syrup

Experience the maple sugaring process from start to finish in this engaging indoor/outdoor program. Participants will learn how maple trees are tapped, explore the history and traditions of maple sugaring, learn how to build their own evaporator, and venture into the sugar bush to see the process in action.

Participants also have a chance to try the sweet results!

This is an open-house style program

Ideal for families, students, and community members looking for a seasonal, hands-on learning experience.

America 250-Tin Punching

Join naturalist Debbie Haubert at the log cabins to use an old time skill for making luminaries. Using hammers and nails, we will punch designs into tin cans for you to take home. Registration is required. All supplies will be provided. Fee of $6.

Sensory Play Saturday - Gemstones

Attention parents of toddlers: have you ever wanted to do sensory play activities with your child, but it looked like too much prep time or too big of a mess? You are in luck!
We will be hosting sensory play days at Creek Bend Farm each month. The March program will be Gemstones themed and have opportunities for your child to explore and learn using all five senses. Your child will also be making a craft and a small snack will be provided.
Registration is required, and please register only the child.

Shake Your Shamrock: Growing Microgreens

Celebrate St. Patrick's Day in a fresh and festive way by growing your own greens. Join Naturalist Sarah at Creek Bend Farm for a hands-on workshop where you will learn about microgreens, how they sprout, and their many health benefits. Try out different varieties of microgreens, and plant your own small pot to take home. Registration is required.

Spilling the Tea

Spilling the Tea is held on the fourth Wednesday of each month. Enjoy an afternoon tea in the Homestead House learning about life in the 1950s. Each month will focus on a different tea and a new year. Read diary entries, search through old photographs and letters to get a glimpse of our past. March will focus on 1952. Registration is required.

America 250-Embroidery

View vintage embroidery designs from our historic Homestead House then make your own to take home. Water soluble patterns, floss and needles will be provided. Please bring your own shirt, pillowcase, cloth napkin or other lightweight fabric item to decorate. No experience necessary. Registration required, $6 fee.All supplies will be provided. For ages 11 and older. Registration is required. Fee $6.

Nature Camp BIGS (11-12) Week 1

Take nature exploration and outdoor fun to the next level at Creek Bend Farm!

Campers will take a closer look at the park, learn archery, experience a tree-climbing adventure using ropes, go paddling, tie-dye their own camp shirt and so much more!

An afternoon snack will be provided each day. Participants are responsible for their own lunches and a water bottle.

Nature Camp MIDDLES (9-10) Week 1

Come discover the world around you as we create and investigate during this 4-day adventure at Creek Bend Farm!

Campers will investigate the park, paddle and explore Muddy Creek, get an up-close experience with our Nature Center ambassador animals, tie-dye their own camp shirt and so much more!

An afternoon snack will be provided each day. Participants are responsible for their own lunches and a water bottle.

Campers must be 9 years of age by the start of camp. An information and health form is included with your registration confirmation email and must be completed within three business days of registration.
