Spilling the Tea

Spilling the Tea is held on the fourth Wednesday of each month. Enjoy an afternoon tea in the Homestead House learning about life in the 1930s. Each month will focus on a different tea and a new year. Read diary entries, search through old photographs and letters to get a glimpse of our past. January will focus on 1930. Registration is required.

Winter Spa Day

Feeling worn down by the winter weather? Spend the morning at Creek Bend Farm learning how to make your own winter self-care products. We will be making lip balm for those wintertime chapped lips, a eucalyptus oil blend for relieving congestion, anti-static spray, and a body scrub for exfoliation and moisturizing. For ages 12 and up. Registration is required. $10 program fee.

Sensory Play Saturday - Valentine's

Attention parents of toddlers: have you ever wanted to do sensory play activities with your child, but it looked like too much prep time or too big of a mess? You are in luck! We will be hosting sensory play days at Creek Bend Farm the first Saturday of each month. The February program will be Valentine's themed and have opportunities for your child to explore and learn using all five senses. Your child will also be making a craft and a small snack will be provided during a story time. Registration is required, and please register only the child.

Hot Bread & Free Advice

Join naturalist Debbie Haubert at the log cabins for an old-fashioned afternoon. Free old-timey advice will be given while you make and treat yourself to homemade pretzels. Registration is required. Fee of $6.

SuperB Owl Sunday

Super Bowl Sunday may be the end of the NFL season, but SuperB Owl Sunday is right in the middle of owl season. Join Naturalist Sarah at the Wilson Nature Center from 10-noon for activities, crafts, games, and more to learn all about the amazing athletic abilities of owls. Dissect an owl pellet, compete in owl games, eat tasty owl snacks, and help fill out an owl bracket to see which of Ohio's 8 species will take home the trophy. Registration is required.

Pottery Perfection in the Park: Love Stinks

We are excited to announce that we will be partnering with Pottery Perfection in 2025. We have selected a project for each season. Our first program will be with Joni as she leads you through the design process and painting of this skunk plate. While you work Program Supervisor, Deb Nofzinger, will present a program on skunks and we will discover why the scent of love is in the air. Fee: $35. REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Space is limited.

Snowflake Hike

Say good-by to winter with a walk through the woods. Search the trees for snowflakes you can collect and take home. Be prepared to hike on uneven trails. Registration is required.
