Each year over 11 million tons of textile waste is added to landfills across the country. Help us find a new use for scrap material by making a hexagon fall garland. A Farmer's Calendar
A Farmer's Calendar is about farming at Creek Bend Farm in 1940. Entries from Ernest Roush's diary will be read as we tour the barn looking at antique farm equipment. Photographs of the farm will also be shared as we take a glimpse into our past. Please dress for the weather, as the barn is not heated. Hot drinks will be provided. Registration is required.

Nibbles Adventure Club: Camouflage
Nibbles Adventure Club programs are for families with children ages 4-10 years old. Participants will receive the NAC booklet at their first program. After completing four NAC activities, you will receive a pin. NAC programs will be held every other month throughout 2024. This month we will discuss the advantages of camouflage color patterns for animals. Dress in your favorite camouflage to be the best at our Hide and Seek game in the praire! Please bring your own water to drink. Registration is for CHILDREN ONLY and required.

Spilling the Tea is held on the fourth Wednesday of each month. Enjoy an afternoon tea in the Homestead House learning about life in the 1940s. Each month will focus on a different tea and a new year. Read diary entries, search through old photographs and letters to get a glimpse of our past. November will focus on 1949. Sensory Play Saturday - Winter
Attention parents of toddlers: have you ever wanted to do sensory play activities with your child, but it looked like too much prep time or too big of a mess? You are in luck! We will be hosting sensory play days at Creek Bend Farm once per season. The December program will be winter themed and have opportunities for your child to explore and learn about winter using all five senses. Your child will also be making a craft and a small snack will be provided during a story time. Registration is required, and please register only the child.

Winter Solstice Yule Logs
Yule logs are a European tradition where a special log is selected to be burned starting on Christmas Eve and continuing through January 5th. Learn about the history and traditions surrounding yule logs and the winter solstice while crafting your own yule log centerpiece. All supplies will be provided.
